It increases the HDL (high density lipo-protein which is generraly known as good cholesterol) and decreases the LDL (which is bad cholesterol). It facilitates growth of the bones of children. 2-3 spoonful of olive oil should be added to the vegetable purees prepared for children who have stopped breastfeeding. It also slows down the osteoclasis, which is especially good for women with the risk of osteoporosis.

Is that all? Not at all. As the most-easily-digested oil, it facilitates the intake of minerals and vitamins. It decreases the stomach acid level and thus it is the most tolerable oil. It protects the stomach walls against stomach acids and ulcer.

Last but not the least, the Vitamin E in its structure protects the liver, vein walls, red corpuscules, muscles and brain. Needless to say, this paves the way for slowing down the ageing of the body and protects the brain functions.
